Common Troubleshooting
Navigating the Interface & UI Controls
- The Main Menu: To access global app settings, look for the half-circle hamburger menu icon located directly above and to the right of the main controllers.
- Accessing Project Details: Long-press on your Circle object to bring up the project detail modal.
- Managing Layers: Long-press on any Layer Tab to bring up the options to delete or duplicate that specific layer.
Project Limits & Export Troubleshooting
- Project Storage (Free Tier): Free users can actively maintain 1 project at a time. If you attempt to create a new canvas (via the "NEW CIRCL" button), tap an empty "plus" slot in the gallery, or duplicate a project, the app will bring up the Archive Pack modal to unlock unlimited slots.
- Permissions for Photo Reel Exports: Free users can export a standard 1024x1024 image directly to their local device. If your export isn't saving, please ensure you have granted CIRCLR permission to access your device's photo library in your iOS system settings.
- Pro Exports: Triggering a 4K Export, HiRes PNG Layers, or an SVG Export requires the Designer Pack.
Tiered Upgrade & Discount Logic
- Fair Upgrade Pricing: If you purchase the Archive Pack first and later decide to upgrade to the full Designer Pack, Apple's App Store pricing will automatically apply an upgrade discount. Because the Designer Pack fully includes the Archive Pack, you will never be double-charged for features you already own.
Performance & Hardware Diagnostics
The app is running slowly or stuttering
CIRCLR uses high-performance rendering to handle complex canvas graphics. If you notice a drop in performance:
- Close other resource-heavy background apps on your device.
- Ensure your operating system is updated to the latest version.
- Restart the app to clear the active memory cache.
Exporting issues (SVG or PNG files)
If your exported files aren't appearing in your device storage:
- Ensure you have granted CIRCLR permission to access and write to your device's photo library or files system when prompted.
- Check your default "Downloads" or "Files" directory on your device.
SVG Export Formatting
Vector Geometry: The SVG export feature is fully optimized for standard geometric rendering. Exports will be perfectly crisp and structurally correct when using non-blurred circles and sharp vector paths.
A Note on Blur Effects: If your design utilizes heavy blur filters or soft gradient masks, these complex raster-style effects may render differently depending on the third-party vector software (like Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, or Figma) you use to open the file. For exact replicas of heavily blurred designs, we recommend exporting as a high-resolution PNG.
